Starting from Marple, this ride makes it way to Dinting and Padfield before heading up the Longdendale valley. The climb of Holme Moss is the literal high point, so you may feel you've earned a cafe stop in the village of Holmfirth.

The climbing resumes straight away as we make our way to Langsett and the challenging roads over Strinesdale, where cyclists from Sheffield and Manchester have been testing themselves for decades. Watch those dips, with their fiendish bends at the bottom. Another cafe stop awaits you in in Edale.

Leave Edale for the final big push up to Mam Nick before the drop to Chapel en le Frith and Chinley. The final climbs of Dolly Lane and through New Mills wil get you back to Marple, perhaps for a well-earned drink from one of the pubs awaiting you there.

If that's too short, try the Dark & White Peak Super Grimpeur (200km)
